10 models to compare

What duct does each Broan-NuTone fan connect to?

Duct shapes differ. Five Broan-NuTone fans use 4 in ducts, four use 6 in, and LP510R uses a 4-inch oval. Only the first five install room-side.

Sound ratings differ; maker ratings do not calculate your bathroom's ventilation needs.

How the comparison works

Your choices are compared with each model’s product details. A missing or conflicting value stays unknown and cannot satisfy a choice you select. The starting order helps you browse; it does not rate real-world performance.

Source dates appear with each link below. A source date does not confirm today's price or stock.

Selectable airflow needs a setting-by-setting comparison

Broan-NuTone's FlexAir offers 80 or 110 CFM, with sound ratings of 0.6 or 1.3 sones. Maker airflow, sound and installation descriptions supply the bathroom-fan details; bathroom noise and extraction were not measured, and the duct route and installation remain separate decisions. The CleanCover versions pair 80 CFM with 0.7 sones and 110 CFM with 1 sone. Read airflow and noise at the same setting rather than pairing a high flow number with a low noise number.

The airflow control matches each complete configuration. Selecting a single airflow value excludes selectable configurations, even when they offer that setting; use No preference to keep them in view.

Duct connection and access can decide the installation

The CleanCover fans have 4-inch duct connections and permit room-side installation. The QTXE models use 6-inch connections and do not carry that room-side option here. Lo-Profile has a 4-inch oval connection, so a diameter number alone misses its shape.

Housing dimensions are available for 9 of the 10 fans; the AE ventilation fan has no usable housing dimensions here. Compare the opening with the exact housing drawing and follow the electrical and installation instructions before ordering.

An exhaust fan does not necessarily sense humidity

None of these Broan-NuTone entries has built-in humidity sensing. If you want automatic humidity control, read the exact fan and control package details rather than assuming a selectable-airflow fan supplies it.

Before you buy

Why do some fans show several airflow numbers?

The PCPE811 (80-110 cfm), LP510R (50-80-100 cfm) and PTE511RK (50-80-110 cfm) have selectable speeds, and the airflow choice matches each full set. The PCPE811 and LP510R also give a sone rating per setting, so compare sound at the same setting.

Why does the LP510R show several sound ratings?

The maker’s heading and feature text give 0.4, 0.9 and 1.2 sones. The comparison uses those ratings instead of the conflicting zero in its table.

Does the duct choice include adapters?

The LP510R counts by its 4-inch oval connection; its separately sold 3-inch adapter is not treated as included. Housing dimensions and the exact model’s installation instructions decide whether a replacement fits your ceiling. Five use a 4 in duct, four use 6 in, and the LP510R a 4-inch oval. Only those five round-duct models install room-side. Sound varies there. The AR110 is rated 3 sones, the AE80BR and AER80K 0.7 sones. All are maker ratings, not a ventilation calculation for your bathroom.

Why is the QTXEG110 sound figure missing?

Its title and table disagree, so the rating stays unknown rather than picking one of the two.
