Nine of these 12 Kingston Brass assemblies are made for a 1-5/8 in sink opening. Three are for 1-3/4 in.
Every 1-3/4 in drain is a push pop-up; 1-5/8 in adds lift-rod, lift-and-turn and chain types, as whole assemblies.

Sink opening and tailpiece are different measurements
Kingston Brass push pop-up drains in Brushed Brass include both 1-5/8-inch and 1-3/4-inch sink openings. The tailpiece diameter is 1-1/4 inches in both cases. Kingston Brass dimensions and descriptions supply the drain details; leaks and stopper cycling were not evaluated in trials. Matching the pipe beneath the basin does not settle whether the drain fits the basin opening.
Use your sink's drain drawing before picking a finish. Opening size, overflow arrangement and tailpiece connection each need to agree with the sink and plumbing.
Choose overflow ports before choosing the stopper action
The Polished Chrome lift-rod drain has overflow ports, while the Matte Black lift-rod drain does not. Push pop-up, lift-and-turn and chain-and-plug designs also appear. The action you prefer cannot substitute for the correct overflow configuration.
Most bodies are brass; the Polished Brass lift-rod option also comes in a brass-and-ABS version. Review the seals, rod clearance and installation instructions for the exact drain.
Before you buy
Is the sink opening the same as the tailpiece size?
No. The opening is the hole in the sink; the tailpiece is the pipe below the drain, and all 12 of these use a 1-1/4 in tailpiece. The installation drawing shows both connections.
What if my sink has an overflow?
Eight are made for sinks with an overflow and four for sinks without one, so the overflow hole in your basin generally decides which group to shop.
What are these drains made of?
Eleven have brass bodies; the KBP1002 lift-rod drain combines brass and ABS. Finishes in the names include polished chrome, matte black, brushed brass and oil rubbed bronze.
