Arbor follows blade size here. Diablo 4 1/2 in blades use 3/8 in arbors; 6 in uses 1/2 in; larger sizes use 5/8 in.
Check speed, arbor, rotation and permitted saw type against both manuals.

Equal diameters can conceal different tooth counts
Diablo's compact Fine Finish blade has a 4.5-inch diameter and 36 teeth; its compact Framing blade has the same diameter with 24 teeth. Diameter, arbor and tooth count are separate choices. Diablo's maker dimensions and speed ceilings are documented, without cuts or kickback assessments; follow both the blade and equipment instructions. Start with the saw manual's permitted dimensions, then the blade's intended material and cut description.
The larger Ultra Finish and Wood Demon options include 7.25-inch blades with 60 teeth. A tooth count describes the blade geometry; it does not predict finish quality in your wood or saw.
The blade speed ceiling is a compatibility check
The compact Fine Finish blade carries a maximum speed of 5000 RPM, compared with 4000 RPM for the compact Framing blade. Verify the speed rating alongside arbor geometry, permitted saw types, rotation and material. A matching diameter cannot approve the pairing.
Kerf and plate thickness remain separate table details after those safety checks.
Before you buy
Which tooth count should I compare?
Diablo’s names pair low counts with framing and high counts with finish work: 20 and 24 teeth on the framing and Demo Demon blades, and 36 to 60 teeth on the finish blades.
Does the diameter choice settle saw compatibility?
Not by itself. Arbor, maximum speed, rotation, permitted saw type and the material you cut all have to agree with the saw and blade manuals before use.
How thin are these blades?
Every kerf here is under 1/16 in, with the three thinnest on the D0436X, D0620X and D0640X. Diablo also brands the D0624DA as ultra-thin.
Do all these blades share one speed limit?
No. Diablo rates them from 4,000 rpm (D0424X) and 5,000 rpm (D0436X) up to 12,000 rpm (D0620X and D0640X), with seven at 8,000 rpm. The blade rating and your saw manual must agree before use. Each size has one: 4 1/2 in blades use a 3/8 in arbor, 6 in blades 1/2 in, and the 6 1/2 in and 7 1/4 in blades 5/8 in.
