Is a wider oscillating tool blade better for deep cuts?
Not past 1-1/4 in. Bi-metal 1-1/4 in blades have a 2 in cut depth, the 2-1/2 in DOS250BW 1-1/2 in and the 3-1/2 in DOU350RBGP 1 in.
Each wide blade comes in one interface: DOS250BW Starlock, DOU350RBGP Universal Fit.

Start at the tool mount, then the material
Diablo offers Steel Demon and Demo Demon blades in Starlock and Universal Fit versions. Choose the interface your tool accepts before the cutting application. Universal Fit is Diablo's interface name; your exact tool can still need an adapter or fall outside its compatibility guidance.
Application categories separate Metal Cutting, Wood Cutting and Multi-Material Cutting. We use Diablo's application descriptions without running the blades through metal or nail-embedded wood. Read the detailed material and tool-model guidance before fitting a blade.
Equal blade width can hide a different depth
Diablo's Bi-Metal Steel Demon metal blades are 1.25 in wide with a 2 in cut-depth value; the Carbide Steel Demon metal blades are also 1.25 in wide but have a 1.5 in cut-depth value. Width alone cannot answer how far the blade can reach.
The wider Universal Fit Bi-Metal Demo Demon for general-purpose cuts measures 3.5 in across with a 1 in cut-depth value. The width control sets a maximum, while depth remains a separate table detail. Compare tooth design and the exact material guidance alongside those dimensions.
Before you buy
Will a Universal Fit blade fit my oscillating tool?
Universal Fit is Diablo's name for the interface, not a promise for every tool. Diablo's compatibility list for the exact blade is the place to look, including whether your tool needs an adapter.
Is a Starlock blade different from its Universal Fit version?
Five of the seven blade groups have Starlock and Universal Fit versions with the same listed width, cut depth and tooth material. For example, DOS125BF and DOU125BF both list a 1-1/4 in width, 2 in cut depth and bi-metal teeth. Their mounting interfaces differ; other differences are not compared here.
Which blades does Diablo name for metal or nail-embedded wood?
Nail-embedded wood goes with the DOS125BW, DOU125BW and DOS250BW, and metal with the Steel Demon blades (DOS125BF, DOU125BF, DOS125CF and DOU125CF), where the carbide AMPED versions have a shallower cut depth than the bi-metal pair. The General Purpose blades carry the multi-material label, and each product page's detailed material list goes further than these labels.
Are these sold in packs?
Each is a single blade. Price and local stock aren't tracked here, so the linked product page shows what's current.
