How the Stud Finder (Zircon models) works
We compare published specifications; we have not tested these products.
Which details affect a match?
A model matches when its details meet every choice you select. Missing or conflicting values stay unknown. If nothing fits, the finder shows the closest option and what it misses.
- Which stud depth do you want (in)?
- Do you want edge locating or center-and-edge locating?
- Which weight without battery (oz) do you want?
Order and links
The starting order helps you browse. Your choices determine which models match. When the first match has no product link, the finder identifies another linked match separately. Commission amounts do not determine a match.
Sources and limitations
Ten current Zircon models, from Zircon's product pages as of September 26, 2026; depth is Zircon's stud-scanning rating (StudScan or DeepScan), and metal or AC scanning depths aren't swapped in for it. Weight excludes the battery and is blank for the SuperScan M4, whose page gives none. Magnetic-only finders, wall imagers and other brands aren't covered. No wall was scanned with these for this page, so accuracy on plaster, tile or textured walls is unknown.
The finder shows source links and the dates they were checked. Those dates do not establish today’s price or stock. Before ordering, confirm the model and variant on the seller’s page.
