10 models to compare

Does a lower heat gun temperature rating mean fewer watts?

Within each maker, where both figures are given, a lower rated maximum comes with lower wattage. The 350 W EC-MINI is rated to 640 °F, each 1,560 W Proheat to 1,200 °F.

Rated temperature differs from wattage.

How the comparison works

Your choices are compared with each model’s product details. A missing or conflicting value stays unknown and cannot satisfy a choice you select. The starting order helps you browse; it does not rate real-world performance.

Source dates appear with each link below. A source date does not confirm today's price or stock.

Power supply can settle the heat-gun decision early

Master Appliance's EC-MINI is corded with a 640 °F maximum; STEINEL's Mobile Heat is rechargeable with a 930 °F maximum. Known maximum temperatures span 640 to 1300 °F, with a temperature figure missing for 1 gun. The maximum is a maker limit, not a setting recommendation for your material. Read the supply details, permitted application and fire precautions before buying; keep hot air away from people and combustible materials.

Airflow descriptions need their original settings

Master Appliance's EC-MINI has a 9.9 CFM airflow figure, while other models describe settings or ranges. The EC-MINI also has a 350 W power rating; the supported power ratings span 350 to 1600 W. Keep each airflow figure attached to its operating conditions instead of reducing the descriptions to a comparable output. Heat delivery and nozzle airflow remain unmeasured, and power consumption alone cannot tell you heating speed.

Before you buy

Is the maximum temperature the setting to use?

Treat it as the tool's ceiling. Several of these adjust well below it: STEINEL's ranges start at 120 °F and the EC-200 starts at 100 °F. Follow the instructions for your material, since too much heat can scorch, blister or crack it.

Why are some figures blank?

This comparison has no maximum-temperature value for the HL 1920 E, no wattage or airflow value for the HG 2620 E, and no voltage value for the Mobile Heat 5. Treat those as unknown and check the exact model's documentation. Within each maker, where both figures are given, a lower rated maximum comes with lower wattage. The 350 W EC-MINI is rated to 640 °F, each 1,560 W Proheat to 1,200 °F. STEINEL's battery Mobile Heat 5 stops at 930 °F. Of the nine guns that state one, only the corded HG 2620 E is rated higher.

Can I compare airflow between the two brands?

Only roughly. Each maker states airflow its own way: three separate figures (4 / 7 / 13 cfm on the HL 1820 S), an adjustable range (4 to 18 CFM on the PH-1200A and PH-1400A) or a single figure (9.9 CFM on the EC-MINI). Read each as that maker's own figure, which is why the airflow choice picks an exact value.
