Four of eleven QEP spacers allow leave-in use. Permissions differ by floor or wall.
Choose width from tile and grout guidance; leave-in permission does not establish wall suitability.

Joint design comes before the size of the bag
QEP's traditional cross spacers include a 0.25 in joint size in a 200-spacer pack. T-shaped and horseshoe options serve different layouts; choosing a shape does not determine the joint width your tile and grout need. Start with their installation instructions, then select the exact width and shape.
The shape control uses exact groups. An outdoor spacer grouped as Octagon / Plus Sign / Cross is not in the plain Plus Sign / Cross group. QEP's configuration descriptions distinguish these spacers; spacing consistency was not assessed in a tile installation.
Leave-in permission belongs to the exact spacer
Pack quantities range from 20 to 500 spacers. QEP's outdoor tile-and-paver spacer comes in a 20-spacer pack and permits leave-in use. Its indoor T spacers come in 300-spacer packs with optional leave-in use; horseshoe spacers say no. A larger bag does not change those installation directions.
Read indoor or outdoor, floor or wall, and leave-in instructions together. Use the chosen spacer's installation guidance for joint spacing: the quantity control sets a minimum bag size, without calculating spacing or the number your project needs.
Before you buy
What shapes and pack sizes does QEP offer here?
Six crosses (five flexible, one hard), two T spacers, two horseshoe shims and one outdoor octagon-and-cross design. Packs run from 20 pieces for the outdoor 10451 to 500 for the 10335 flexible crosses, with the T spacers at 300 and the horseshoe shims at 150 or 200. Shape is an exact match, so the outdoor design sits in its own group.
Can I use these spacers outdoors?
One set is sold for it: the 10451 spacers for tile and pavers, which QEP marks for outdoor floors. The other ten are marked indoor. Whichever you choose, follow QEP's instructions for that spacer, since a matching joint width doesn't cover how it's installed. QEP marks both T spacers and the 1/8 in hard crosses as optional leave-in, and its outdoor spacers as leave-in. For walls, QEP's floor-and-wall spacers run 1/16 to 3/16 in; its 1/4 in and 3/8 in crosses are for floors. Your tile and grout instructions set the width. Four of the 11 QEP spacers allow leave-in use. Their floor and wall permissions differ, along with available widths. Leave-in permission does not make every spacer suitable for walls.
